World Record by Visakhapatnam Steel Plant Worker :-
It was a proud moment for Korukonda Ranga Rao, a worker of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, for gaining an entry into the Guinness World Records in ‘The most jokes told in an hour’ category, which was held at a programme organised by Laughters Fun Club on September 29, 2013. Breaking the sooner record of 549 jokes instructed in an hour by Anthony Lehmann of Australia in 2005, Mr. Ranga Rao, founder-secretary of the club, had set a brand new record, cracking roughly 10 jokes per minute throughout his hour-lengthy journey of presenting a complete of 654 jokes.
At a felicitation programme held right here on Saturday, Mr. Ranga Rao mentioned that his future endeavours could be presenting most jokes in a minute and narrating non-stop jokes for 55 to 60 hours. “I thank my family, team of Laughters Fun Club, friends, and well-wishers, who stood by me and offered help in all aspects,” he said. Lauding the efforts taken and presenting the certificate issued by the Guinness World Records to Mr. Ranga Rao, HRD Minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao mentioned that town-primarily based artiste made the State proud.
Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas, MLAs — Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar, Palla Srinvasa Rao, Vishnu Kumar Raju, and Panchakarla Ramesh Babu — took part within the felicitation program, which was organised to honour Mr. Ranga Rao for locating a spot in Guinness World Records, Asia Book of Records, and India Book of Records amongst others. Vaisakhi Jala Udyanavanam director Chintalapudi Chitti Babu and founder-president of the club V. Bhaskarachari have been amongst different invitees who participated.
Mr.Korukonda Ranga Rao received the pleasure of place in ‘The most jokes told in an hour’ category of Guinness World Records.
