Vizagites Mourn Kalam’s Death :-
Vizagites mourned the death of former president Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam’s death. He had visited Vizag on many occasions, including President Fleet Review in 2006, as President of India. Vizag MP and BJP state president Kambhampati Haribabu had condoled the death and said it was a great loss to the mankind. The Andhra University will remain closed on Tuesday as a mark of respect to the former President of India, who died of cardiac arrest in Shillong.
Varsity VC Prof. Uma Maheswar Rao expressed shock at the sudden demise of Dr Kalam. Prof. Rao described Dr Kalam as one of the greatest and popular Presidents of India. He said Dr Abdul Kalam was a role model for the Indian youth and his contribution to the country, particularly in the scientific field, was remarkable. President of Visakhapatnam Bar Association (VBA) J. Prithvi Raj said that Kalam was a great leader of the nation. Forum of Legal Professionals, in an emergency meeting last night, condoled the death. President of the Forum Kuppili Muralidhar said the death of Dr Kalam was a great shock and is a colossal loss to the nation. “The void created by his death would be very difficult to fill.”
