Vizag Places Fifth in Cleanest Cities in India :-

To turbo-charge, Pm Narendra Modi’s pursuit to cleanup India, the federal government has interviewed 73 metropolitan cities having a population in excess of 10 lakhs. The concept would be to measure in which the Swachh Bharat or Clean India mission is building success out inroads. Mysuru in Karnataka, Chandigarh and Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu have been in the sweet place of Best Three. New Delhi is behind them, Venkaiah Naidu announced, the Urban Development Minister. Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat’s Surat and Rajkot have both managed to get in to the Top Ten, showing a large improvement over their earlier ranking.

Ranking last within the listing of 73 metropolitan cities is Dhanbad in Jharkhand. Others towards the Bottom 10 include Asansol in West Bengal, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh, Patna in Bihar, Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Jamshedpur in Jharkhand, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and Kalyan Dombivili in Maharashtra. Varanasi is PM Modi’s Lok Sabha constituency.

In the previous year, Mysuru, renowned as the City of Palaces, was rated cleanest of India’s 476 metropolitan cities, each having a population in excess of a lakh. That result took it’s origin from market research that measured how sanitation has enhanced because the PM released the Clean India mission in 2014 by sweeping a road within the capital by himself. The brand new survey, restricted to metropolitan areas that have a minimum of 10 lakh citizens, was ordered to get rid of unfair evaluations to much more compact cities. 22 state capitals were covered within the latest assessment. The Swachh Bharat campaign is targeted at raising understanding of the co-relation between sanitation and health. The PM makes building toilets a government priority and that he has pledged that each household have a toilet by 2019.
