Students Exhibit Culinary Skill at Chef Competition :-
Competition for master chef and that involving school students sounds very new in the city. However, Novotel in collaboration with the Oakridge International School made it possible on Friday by organising Little Master Chef competition.”There are hardly any competitions or events to identify the culinary skills. We dreamt about the competition and with the help of Novotel this has been possible.” Oakridge International School Principal Manija Subrahmanyam said. “The kids with appetitefor competition were invited two months ago to enrol for Little Master Chef, 35 students underwent training and of which ten students were chosen for the finale. They also had to appear some written test.” the organiser said.
“One wonders if it’s wise to have young ones bouncing about with big, sharp knives, navigating burning ovens and also being judged on their cooking techniques at such a tender age! Why not? It’s also an art. There are no rules, you decide and you get this other thing, a flavour that did not exist before, And it’s power.” the chief chef of Novotel Hotel Mahesh said. The team comprising Rashmika, Tanvi, Leeladhar, chef Anil mentored by chef Utpal won the first prize.
