Bhogapuram Airport – Aid to be Finalised Soon :-
The state government has set a target to complete land acquisition for the proposed Greenfield international airport at Bhogapuram within a month. Ministers Ganta Srinivas Rao and Kimidi Mrunalini reviewed the progress on the land acquisition process with the district collectors of Vizag and Vizianagaram here on Sunday Later talking to reporters. Mr Srinivas Rao said that they have prepared compensation package and would put it before Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during his visit to city on Monday to take a final decision. Of the total 5,013 acres of land, the state government intends to acquire 1,600 acres belonging to government and having D pattas.
He further said that 300 acres belong to various Vuda approved real estate ventures. The minister said that the government would categorise these plots as per the sale transactions and then fix the compensation. He added that the remaining 3,000 odd acres are of Jerayithi lands. “We have prepared some compensation package proposals for those who are going to lose lands for the airport which will highly benefit them. We have set a target to acquire the necessary land within a month,” he said. The minister lashed out at the YSRC chief Y.S.Jagan Mohan Reddy by terming him as inexperienced and inefficient leader. He also challenged Jagan to prove if he or his followers had lands in Bhogapuram.
